I'm Ken & Nan M., the breeder behind Silly Springers located in San Diego, CA. Our passion for Springer Spaniels is our commitment: Our dogs are family members for life. Our dames have one or two litters before retirement Our dogs receive the comprehensive veterinary screening for hips, elbow, eyes, as well as, full PBA/DNA OFA/CERF clear eye screening .

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We always had dogs in our family as kids. Our parents began breeding to teach us about the responsibility of raising puppies, and the joy!
  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are hand raised. We spend hours everyday playing with, training, touching and socializing them. Each one is given his or her own moments with one of us.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include liver white and tan and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ken & Nan

Puppy prices include a $200 deposit and $1,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes complete puppy healthcare screening of hips, elbow, eyes and full PBA/DNA; OFA/CERF clear eye screening; three rounds of Spectra 5 vaccinations; and, two rounds of deworming.”

Contract & health guarantee

Ken & Nan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
