I'm Alisha S., the breeder behind Silva Giant Schnauzers located in Oceanside, CA. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! We fell in love with the personality and temperament of our dogs right from the start. Once you’ve owned a Giant Schnauzer, you’ll never again want to be without one!

Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved the Miniature Schnauzer breed, but my husband prefers larger dogs. When we got married we compromised and got Giant Schnauzers. These dogs are amazing and we have a lot of fun with them. The biggest plus with them is they don't shed and they are hypoallergenic dogs for those who suffer from allergies.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“-All puppies will have their tails docked, dewclaws removed, shots and de-worming up to date -health exam vet clearance -Genetic health guarantee -I will take the puppy back under all conditions. All puppies are the same price with limited registration. Full registration is a different price and needs to be discussed for approval.”

Litter update on 21 Oct 2025 •…Meet Shadow, he’s 7.5 months old (March 7, 2025). Looking for a new home. His original owners situation recently changed and he needs to be re-homed. He’s very playful, good with kids, listens to training commands from owner and oldest son, he’s not a barker at all, loves going for walks, went to two week training to learn commands and skills. He’s 60 lbs Shadow is still intact. Has limited registration. Can be full registration with additional fee to breeder. $100 re-homing fee. Just want to make sure he finds a good home. You can speak to the owner if you would like. Located in Downey CA.

Winston loves to please us. He is very obedient, loves to play fetch, go on car rides, and enjoys belly rubs. He loves playing with other dogs and is also great with kids. He is brilliant and catches onto things quickly. We are considering training him to be a Service or Companion Dog.

About Zoey
Zoey is a female Giant Schnauzer. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Alisha decided to make her part of their program. Alisha has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
