Q. & A. with April
Why did you start breeding?
As a means to encourage our children to understand economics while doing something they love, we decided to begin breeding labrador retrievers. Then we fell in love with the golden retriever breed, how wonderful they are with children, how much they love to be around people, and how intelligent they are. The English cream coloring is our favorite, and we are excited to share this breed with others.
What makes your program special?
We understand the importance of potential; each day puppies get one on one time, as if they were with their own family, to be on the leash, to have simple and consistent training opportunities, and interraction with real life experiences. They spend time outside, around every day noises such as the lawnmower, leaf blower, other animals, and at the creek for water time.
We also invite the puppies into the home so they have the opportunity to learn how to use a potty pad inside.
There are two different crates inside their kennel so they have the opportunity to experience having crate time.
Our goal is to send a puppy to their new home with confidence facing new experiences.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Golden Retriever 2, PRA, Golden Retriever 1
