I'm Amy H., the breeder behind Silver Myst Acres located in Disputanta, VA. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy family pets. All of our litters are raised in our home and are well socialized with adults, kids of different ages and different animals. I have been a professional pet groomer for over 27 years so I know the importance of getting puppies acclimated to different environments. Your puppy will be accustomed to the practices of being professionally groomed which in turn also helps with manners at the vet.
Q. & A. with Amy
Why did you start breeding?
Through showing my dogs competitively I became more interested in breeding because while most dogs in the show ring were beautiful they didn’t all have the temperament that I was looking for in a family pet. I wanted to focus on breeding a dog that was not only beautiful but would also be an amazing companion and easy to live with at home.
What makes your program special?
I think what makes our breeding program special is our attention to detail when it comes to socializing our puppies and also our health testing procedures for the parents to our puppies. We strive to make sure your are getting an extremely well rounded healthy puppy.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
