Q. & A. with Rebekah
Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding because both of us are well versed in the practice of responsible breeding, having grown up with parents who produce high quality show dogs, working dogs and pets. Thus we began Smokey Pembrokes.
What makes your program special?
We love the gentle and goofy nature of the breed and mate with improvement in mind. Every mating is planned in all aspects, with careful consideration of temperament, conformation and overall health. Puppies are handled and worked with daily so we can ensure your puppy is as well rounded as possible when we send them to your home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Blaze, dad
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Blaze
Blaze is a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi over 4 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Rebekah decided to make him part of their program. Rebekah has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Rowan, mom
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Rowan
Rowan is a therapy dog who goes with me to visit the elderly and disabled. She gets so excited for these visits and its very easy to see the differences she makes on the lives of those she encounters. She has never met a person she didn't immediately love, and she is by far the sweetest dog I have ever had the pleasure to own.
