Snow Creek Goldens

Sandra W.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Sandra W., the breeder behind Snow Creek Goldens located in Martinsville, VA. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We genetically test and OFA test hips, elbows, heart, and eyes to make sure our breeders are healthy and sound. We want to be a part of improving the breed not weakening it.

Q. & A. with Sandra

  • Why did you start breeding?

When we got our first Golden, we instantly fell in love with the breed. Then we decided to breed her a few times. I enjoyed the process so much, that once the children were grown I decided that I wanted to start a small breeding program. I have done all my homework and try my best to produce healthy and good-tempered Goldens.
  • What makes your program special?

We are small and are able to give close attention to our dogs as well as the pups. We do genetic and OFA testing on our dogs to make sure we breed healthy pups. The pups get early neurological stimulation and lots of socialization.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
