Q. & A. with Deborah
Why did you start breeding?
The versatility of the English Springer Spaniel has always intrigued me. In the early 1980’s I found my first Springer soul-mate: Mesquite. Mesquite produced a litter years ago that was the start of my hobby kennel. We kept two beautiful puppies from her, Fred and Shayna. From there, I got into breeding for conformation and began breeding my own lines. While I exhibit my own Springer’s in events and others 98% of my Springers go to prospective companion homes .
What makes your program special?
My goal is to breed with consistent quality and to preserve the English Springer Spaniel’s character. I do this by having a good foundation program, reading pedigrees, physically checking into backgrounds and hopefully eliminating any genetic faults. All my Springers go out on limited registration.(NO Breeding )
Puppy has two Vanguard 5 plus CV ,
Bordetella and one Lyme .
First eye CEAR and cardio clearance’s by speciality vets .microchiped and AKC registered .crate and leash trained .
I do all Health Clearance’s on Adult Springers guided by specific breed .
DNA 🧬 PRA,PFK,DM,Thyroid,Cardio ,and X-rays Hips,Elbows and Patella .
Versatility:
Show in all events plus hunting .
Being very responsible for every dog I put out there for people as Great quality pets and do the best I can to confirm wishes .
Only thing I can’t guarantee gender or color that is outta my control.
Sincerely Deborah Keays and Soaringess
