I'm Sylvia P., the breeder behind Soaring Heart Kennels located in Wylie, TX. My goal is to produce quality Tollers with correct conformation and temperament while maintaining their original purpose and skills. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible. I work hard to ensure the puppies have the tools they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. Our dogs compete and earn titles in a wide range of activities including conformation shows, hunt tests, obedience, rally, agility, and trick dog.
Q. & A. with Sylvia
Why did you start breeding?
When we got our first Toller puppy to take over on hunts for our retiring Boykin Spaniel, my life was changed forever. That included finding the same joy breeding dogs that I enjoyed when breeding horses. I love the entire process from choosing dogs to mate through raising and preparing puppies for their new families.
What makes your program special?
I believe in always striving to improve the breed while maintaining its original purpose. Health testing and choosing the parents are a big part of that. Puppies are raised in our home and exposed to a variety of activities, people, environments, and animals for physical, mental, and social development. Temperament testing and conformation evaluation aid in matching puppies with their show, performance, hunting, or pet homes.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
