I'm Jessica R., the breeder behind Solaire Springers located in Austin, TX. We are dedicated to breeding happy, healthy English Springer Spaniels and believe in breeding quality over quantity. Breeding high quality pure bred dogs takes time and research as we strive to maintain the breed's original function. As such we are extremely selective in quality and temperament with the goal being to produce dogs as described by the breed standard and why we take our time and have so few litters. On average we only breed once or twice every three to four years as we breed primarily for ourselves and preserving the breed standard, NOT for profit. We want to produce dogs who will be the ideal both in the show ring as well as in the home snuggling with you on the couch. We are English Springer Spaniel lovers through and through! Our dogs are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with English Springer Spaniel puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
Our journey began with a retired show dog named Sydney owned by a woman who would become one of our greatest friends and my personal mentor, Dana Lodge. She introduced us to the world of AKC conformation dog shows, easing us into the grooming and care required to keep these beautiful dogs looking their best. Sydney was bred and the rest is history; we will welcome the 5th generation this July.
What makes your program special?
We are extremely selective in quality and temperament with the goal being to continue to improve our breed which is why we take our time and have so few litters.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
