Q. & A. with Jasmine
Why did you start breeding?
I have been passionate about dog showmanship and ethical breeding from a young age. The small spark that began as simple fascination into the world of dogs has ignited to what I can proudly call Solara Standard Poodles. Prior to Solara, we bred and showed Pomeranians for several years. In 2020, we purchased our first poodle and our lives were forever changed.
What makes your program special?
The testing tools we use include: OFA, PennHip, CHIC number, Embark DNA testing, PawPrint & UC Davis Genetic testing, Diversity testing, and Temperament testing. Our puppy protocol includes: ENS & ESI exercises, early sound & scent exposure, grooming desensitization (beginning at 2 weeks), touch desensitization (hands, feet, mouth, etc.), Volhard temperament testing, & early socialization.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
