I'm Mary B., the breeder behind Solid Oak Ranch located in Arlington, OH. Our medium-sized Standard Poodles are raised in our home on our homestead, with five children ( ages 5-16). Through daily family interaction, ENS, ESI, enrichment, grooming, crate training, and socialization, we help each puppy develop into confident, adaptable companions & performance prospects.

Why did you start breeding?
We welcomed Maple, a beautiful sable AKC Standard Poodle from exceptional hunting bloodlines, into our family in 2021. Maple quickly became a cherished member of our busy family of seven and excelled in 4H showmanship, obedience, rally, and agility with our children. Inspired by Maple’s outstanding temperament, trainability, and health testing, we welcomed our first litter in 2026.What makes your program special?
Every puppy is born and raised in the center of our home on our homestead, surrounded by our family of seven, including 5 children (ages 5-16). From day one, they experience daily household life, extensive socialization, grooming, enrichment, crate training, car rides, ENS, ESI, and exposure to numerous farm animals, helping them develop into confident, adaptable, and well-rounded companions.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include moyen and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
