I'm Ben & Ashley C., the breeder behind Solid Rock Ranch Poodles located in Shingle Springs, CA. We responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members or service animals. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality puppies into homes. We love our dogs and raise our puppies to be life-long companions.

Why did you start breeding?
We have always loved dogs, but brought home our first standard poodle in 2021 with the hopes of training her to be a therapy dog (we succeeded!). As we saw how versatile, loyal, and trainable the poodle is, we quickly fell in love with the breed! Seeing the way a well-raised dog could revolution the life of a family or individual, we began to research how to become breeders ourselves.What makes your program special?
Our goal is to provide family-raised poodles with beautiful temperaments and well-rounded personalities. We complete health-testing on all our dogs and use Puppy Culture socialization protocols to ensure a sound and well-rounded puppy.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Ben & Ashley
Ben & Ashley has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Ben & Ashley partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
Price
"The price includes AKC registration, vaccinations & deworming, 72 hour health guarantee, ENS, Puppy Culture socialization, 30 days Trupanion insurance, and discount for "Baxter and Bella" training. Deposits are not accepted until pregnancy confirmation. Deposits guarantee puppy reservation & "pick" placement. Deposit is only refundable is the puppy dies or is diagnosed with a life threatening illness while in SELLER’S care."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 09 June 2025 •…The weaning process has begun! Pups are loving their goat milk snacks. This week, we’ll start making puppy mush and adding some ground meat. Next will be some meaty bones to practice chewing. They are growing so quickly!

About Eowyn
Eowyn is her mama's girl, always following her around the house. She is very observant and incredibly bright. Eowyn is just as happy to run on the property as she is to snuggle on the couch. Her best quality (besides her soft, beautiful apricot curls) is her nose nudge when she wants more attention!

Papi is a mild tempered & easy going dog. He is a small size & we expect his puppies to grow around 40-50 lbs. Papi’s puppies will also inherit his trainability & affection for human companionship.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Brucellosis, Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Full Embark Panel, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I felt that Ben & Ashley were amazing people immediately upon communicating with me!
