I'm Nicole G., the breeder behind Soul Desire Golden Retrievers located in Herriman, UT. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We test our dogs for hips, elbows, eyes, and heart. We raise our puppies with the Puppy Culture method so they come home to you well socialized and ready for their forever home.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with Goldens after watching the movie, Homeward Bound when I was a kid. Shadow, the Golden in the movie stole my heart. I dreamed of breeding puppies since that day. I grew up on a farm and we bred horses. It was a natural part of my life. I finally am at a place in my life to be able to make my golden dream happen.What makes your program special?
I focus on temperament and health clearances and finding the right stud to compliment my female. Our puppies are raised in our home with the Puppy Culture method.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Churro
Churro is just as sweet as her name suggests. She is a progeny of Joey from Soaring Goldens, whose temperament we LOVE, and we sought to integrate his lineage into our program. Churro possesses the quintessential golden retriever temperament, characterized by her gentle disposition and responsiveness. She is a highly obedient dog and displays a keen interest in training. She loves her people and has the desire to be close to them. She is incredibly loyal and calm! She has a great nose. We took her to her first barn hunt event and she got two passes in a row towards her RATN title. We can't wait for the next event so she can get that coveted last pass and move up to the next level. Churro is something special when it comes to her health testing. This girl has some UNREAL hips. Her Pennhip score is .23 for her right hip and .23 for the left. The golden retriever average is .54. This means she has some really tight hips. She also scored OFA Excellent on her hips.

We are so lucky to have added this beautiful Serbian import to our program. We co-own him with our partners at Soaring Goldens. Rocky is the sweetest boy with a submissive temperament. He is gentle and always looking for that next head scratch from his people. Rocky has had several of his puppies go on to do service and therapy work. He is a proven stud with beautiful litter sizes. Rocky is CHIC certified. We have done all the required testing on him. OFA Clearances: Hips - Good Elbows - Normal Eyes - Normal Heart - Normal (Cleared by a canine cardiologist) Rocky is CLEAR on his genetic panel. We can ship semen as well as do live breedings for approved females.

Willow is the funniest dog and we absolutely adore her quirks. She loves to go in between legs like a cat. She is incredibly athletic and is working on Agility and Rally titles. Willow is a natural retriever and has a desire to please. She will produce some great hunting and agility prospects. Willow has been cleared by a canine cardiologist for her heart. About Bullet
Bullet (Bully, Bully Bear) is our stud we co-own with Soaring Goldens. This boy is something special. He has the calmest and most loving temperament. Bullet is a certified therapy dog through Alliance Therapy Dogs. He is a task trained service dog for his mom (Nicole) who has Tourette's syndrome and performs Deep Pressure Therapy for her. Bullet has a medium level drive and has earned his Junior Hunter title. He is an all around amazing dog and has the ability to succeed in many different areas. He is working on titles in Agility, Hunting, Obedience, Dock Diving, Barn Hunt, CAT, etc. This boy does it all! He is of moderate size weighing in at 68 lbs and has the nicest coat ever. This boy is also 100% clear on his golden retriever genetic panel and has OFA rated EXCELLENT hips!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
