I'm Jessica K., the breeder behind South Hill Golden Retrievers located in Middleburg, PA. We are an in-home program where our dogs are our companions first and foremost. We are dedicated to providing each of our puppies with loving and caring forever homes. Through creating an environment of serenity and care for our puppies, we know we are able to give each precious pup the very best chance to reach their potential, express their unique personality, and have a loving, well-rounded temperament.
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
My mom used to breed Poodles and because of that, I fell in love with the process. In 2008, I had my first litter and even though it was challenging, I learned a lot and have put that experience and knowledge into my program. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals!
What makes your program special?
Our pups are raised in our home/kennel and socialized daily with a variety of things. We have just recently introduced the Puppy Culture program. We also love and use PawTree as we truly believe everything starts with good nutrition. We truly cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
