Meet the breeder

I'm Shirley B., the breeder behind South Shore Labradoodles located in Barnstable, MA. Hello and thanks for visiting! We are a home breeder of the Multi Gen Australian Labradoodles established in 2019. South Shore Labradoodles is a Gold Paw Member of the ALAA, and breeder dogs have had extensive health testing to maintain Gold Paw Status with ALAA. We are located in New England on Cape Cod. Our goal is to produce, happy, healthy and sound Australian Labradoodle puppies with wonderful temperaments. We do extensive health testing on all of our breeding dogs, and take extra measures to promote the health and wellbeing of our pups. We strive to produce pups that will be the perfect family companions! We are committed to preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, using socialization, neuro-sensitivity training and getting pups used to environmental noises. We enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence and assistance from us when needed.

Q. & A. with Shirley

  • Why did you start breeding?

Love of the intelligence of the Multti-Gen Australian Labradoodle. Having been a Disability Nurse for years, I wanted to bring my nursing training to create life in the form of the Labradoodle and make families happy with a new family member that dramatically enhances the love of a family. The satisfaction of making a family happy with a new life and loyalty of a pup forever changes that family life.
  • What makes your program special?

Bringing medical experience in Nursing brings to the table medical input into the breeding of our pups. Upon detection of a female breeder pregnancy; Cottage Cheese and Greek yogurt are added to the mothers diet to keep her Calcium stores at an even balace. This enhances the developing puppy skeletal systems to have adequate Calcium levels for proper development throughout the development birth cycle. Once the puppies are born, they feed on Calcium rich milk for optium growth.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel ice, caramel cream, caramel, caramel red, apricot, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
