I'm Emily S., the breeder behind Southern Bayou Poodles and Doodles located in Carencro, LA. Our puppies are raised in our home in Louisiana. We are a small breeder of Mini Goldendoodles, Toy and Mini Aussiedoodles and Standard Poodles. We work closely with Guardian homes and go to great lengths to ensure excellence in our poodle and doodle puppies health, disposition, and appearance.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding Poodles and Doodles began with a deep love for dogs and a passion for raising companions with exceptional temperaments and lifelong health. I prioritize extensive health testing to ensure each puppy starts life with the best foundation possible—physically and emotionally. My goal is to nurture well-rounded, affectionate dogs that bring joy and companionship to families for years to come.

  • What makes your program special?

    Health testing, raising puppies in our home, socializing with children and using BAB curriculum. Pairing each puppy with a perfect matched family.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include grey and white, sable, black, black and white, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Emily

Emily has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emily partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Health Guarantee, Registration, Vet examination, Vaccines, Puppy Curriculum, puppy go home bag, Microchip and Pet insurance. Puppies are same price regardless of color or sex. We do require a spay neuter contract unless breeding rights are purchase for an additional $300.”

Contract & health guarantee

Emily may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
