Angel B.

Breeder of Great Danes

Meet the breeder

I'm Angel B., the breeder behind Southern KY Danes located in Rockcastle County, KY. We breed to AKC standard to better the breed and maintain an excellent temperament and conformation of puppies to better the breed. We are dedicated to providing our families with healthy, well-socialized, loving pets!

Q. & A. with Angel

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had researched so much on the Great Dane that when I finally got my very own, I fell so in love with her. She was everything I wanted in a dog and my best friend. That being said, I couldn't have just one and purchased another. I thought of all the family's who were missing out on the breed (not common in my area at all) so I jumped on board to health test and breed. The rest is history and I love it!
  • What makes your program special?

First off, I look at the health of my dogs and then the healthy outcome of my puppies to be. But right after health I only want to breed dogs that meet all AKC standards and health plus temperament! I don't want to breed dogs that don't pass the temperament test! I take pride in my babies and I make sure that I'm with mom every step of the way with delivery and constant monitoring for the first week❤.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
