I'm Sage J., the breeder behind Southern Skies Cane Corso located in Patterson, LA. I have always dreamed of having a Cane Corso since I was a little girl, and I have since fulfilled my dreams. I am more involved with the breed and I am never looking back at life without a Cane Corso in it! My goal is to produce healthy dogs with great temperaments.
Q. & A. with Sage
Why did you start breeding?
I had a corso back in 2022 and he was not blessed with good genes! He needed to be euthanized and ever since then I have been devoted to making the breed stable for a household and to also be healthy so you can enjoy your dog for as long as possibly. I am extremely passionate about the health of these dogs.
What makes your program special?
My program is special because I am focusing on the health, temperament, and structure. While I’m sure other breeders are using this as well and that’s awesome! These are important because the structure is so you can have a dog do the job is was made to do. These dogs are agile and lean and meant for work.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include gray and fawn, chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, fawn, gray, gray brindle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
