Q. & A. with Leslie
Why did you start breeding?
With my long history of raising and showing various species and breeds of animals including a couple of herding type dogs, I decided 16 years ago to get my first Mini Aussie. I started studying the breed standard and pedigrees and talking to many other long-time breeders. About a year later my 1 Mini turned into 3, and the rest is history.
What makes your program special?
A lot of time is spent researching pedigrees in order to make the best breeding decisions and to avoid any red flags. All adults have breed-specific genetic testing completed, hips are evaluated and eyes certified before being bred. All pups are sold on a contract which also includes a health guarantee and are microchipped for permanent identification.
