I'm Patti P., the breeder behind Springhill Miniature American Shepherds (aka) Mini Aussie located in Carson City, NV. We understand the responsibility of purposefully breeding in order to do better for the breed and the families that love them! We are dedicated to raising the bar for thoughtful breeding with optimal health in mind. We do our best to produce puppies that have the best chance at living long, happy, and healthy lives as your best friend!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Started training in AKC obedience, then started in the show ring with Bearded Collies competing in herding trials and breeding. Always loved the herding breeds, especially the Australian Shepherd and eventually now I breed and train the Mini American Shepherds aka the Mini Aussie.
  • What makes your program special?

    Always prioritizing health (all testing pertaining to this breed) and breeding great temperament.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include black tri, red tri-color, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Patti

Patti has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Patti partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Patti may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)
