Meet the breeder

I'm Cheryl C., the breeder behind Stahlkrieger Standard Schnauzers located in Mishawaka, IN. Our dogs are our companions. For 40 years my selective breeding program has produced loving companions. My dogs have won BIS at World Shows as well as excelling in performance events. Puppies available occasionally in black and pepper and salt. All puppies are guaranteed in writing.

Q. & A. with Cheryl

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first Standard was an abused Standard whom I rescued. I watched day after day this amazing dog turn from a dog that had so many fears of people to the loving companion for my family that included small children. I knew then that this amazing breed was the breed I wanted to dedicate my life to. They have never disappointed me in 40 plus years.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed for the total Schnauzer, in both mind and body. My dogs are highly intelligent as well as loving companions. They shine in the conformation ring, performance ring, and just hanging out being your best friend. Stahlkrieger has produced hearing dogs, service dogs, therapy dogs, show and performance dogs, and loving companions.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
