I'm Jane E., the breeder behind Standard Poodles of Eason Farm located in Hot Springs Village, AR. Our dogs are bred for health, athletic ability, intelligence, and temperament, preparing them to be wonderful family members. We encourage their families to show their puppies off in AKC and/or UKC conformation and/or performance.
Q. & A. with Jane
Why did you start breeding?
We loved our three adorable, smart, well-trained toy and miniature poodles, which were our family, in the eighties. And because so many friends and family members wanted puppies from our dogs, we decided to have one litter. The experience was so much fun and so rewarding, that we ended up breeding our line for about eight years. Now that we are retired, and have two wonderful AKC standard poodles females, we have decided to breed them over the next three years. We are dedicated to the breed, and our goal is to, once again, produce beautiful, sound, healthy, well-socialized puppies who will make wonderful pets. And our secondary goal is to produce puppies who can excel in trick training, agility, and conformation. Our dams and the sires we choose will have CHIC# from OFA. They will have DNA tests from Wisdom Panel or Embark that show them to be non-carriers of genetic diseases. And they will have current negative tests for brucellosis.
What makes your program special?
We are a small, in-home breeder interested in producing the best possible Standard Poodle puppies having great temperament, outstanding physical ability, and high intelligence. Our Sires will have at least equal qualities to our Dams and some will have titles in conformation and/or performance. We will place our puppies in homes where they are beloved pets, but where the owners can enter them in various competitions if they so desire.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, brown, cream, silver, silver-beige, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
