I'm StarRaised G., the breeder behind Star Raised Goldens located in Phoenix, AZ. All our dogs are bred to better the breed standard with good bone structure, confident loving puppies. All parents are OFA certified via hips, elbows, heart, patella, and eyes, and DNA is on profile for all dogs to be cleared genetic wise. Our dogs are our family, raised in home around kids & other dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    With being mentored by a few close friends and reputable breeders, I have decided I am ready to start spreading the love of happy and healthy goldens.

  • What makes your program special?

    All puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee and a guide to set your puppy and you up for success and a long happy life together. Puppies are socialized via sounds, people, other dogs and BAER + volhard temperament tested.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from StarRaised

StarRaised has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

StarRaised partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit. The remaining $2,500 - $4,500 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“This price includes vet wellness exam, first round of vaccines + deworming, puppy starter kit, akc limited registration, & pedigree. Deposits are non refundable and hold your place for a puppy, if there are not enough puppies in this breeding session or timing is not right, deposit can be transferred to a different litter.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5 (NCL5), Golden Retriever Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
