Meet the breeder

I'm Crystal M., the breeder behind Starkhaus Rottweilers & Frenchies located in Westerly, RI. Here at Starkhaus Rottweilers & Frenchies we proudly strive to improve pedigree lineage, produce offspring with excellent temperaments, and provide quality breed standards. We offer companion and show quality dogs. We are also proud to be the top Veterinarian recommended breeder in New England!

Q. & A. with Crystal

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started by handling, grooming, and training dogs. I own a local business where we offer professional grooming, daycare, boarding, training, etc. Dogs are my life! I fell in love with Rottweilers & Frenchies as a child and decided to pursue breeding them when I was older and able to work hard to create the best versions of the breed that I could. I now strive to do that with every breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are well socialized, have the proper temperament, excellent drive, great working ability, solid health, and can all around handle every situation we put them in. Their pups are able to successfully grow up to do service jobs, search and rescue, herding and guarding livestock, babysitting their human babies, and anything else that they are challenged to accomplish.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our French Bulldog puppies include brindle, cream, fawn, white, liver, black, white and fawn, tricolors, blue fawn, blue, and black and tan. Rottweiler puppies are black and mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Crystal was amazing through this entire process. She texted, she called and was a wealth of advice and information about our new puppy. When we arrived to pick him up he was just so perfect. She spent alot of time with us going over everything and we were sent home with tons of toys, treats, a blanket with the littermates scent. He has been doing so well with potty training and sleeping in his crate, the first night not a peep. You can tell the work she puts into her dogs to make sure that you are off to a fantastic start. I have since been texting her and talking to her. It was a dream process and I would highly recommend her if you are looking for the perfect Frenchie pup.

We are so in love with our puppy from Starkhaus ! Working with Crystal was such a pleasure. I loved that she sent updated pictures and news up until we were able to bring our baby home. Also we were impressed with her professionalism and diligence when we met to pick up the puppy. It’s so nice to leave with all the information and some supplies to get us started and having the blanket with the litter smell was helpful the first few nights. I would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a French Bulldog!

Best decision I made was getting a puppy from Crystal. From the very start she was very responsive. My daughter and I FaceTimed with her so we could meet the litter. Her knowledge of the breed is amazing. When we met Crystal to pick up Gummy Bear (Frenchie) she took the time to talk to my daughter and I. She had a goodie bag full of food, treats and toys. Once we took the puppy home, Crystal’s responsiveness didn’t stop. She followed up with us to see how the puppy is doing in her new home and also stressed that she is there if we have any questions, etc. I truly recommend anyone looking to adopt a French bulldog to contact Crystal. I’ve contacted so many breeders and I’m so glad we adopted from Starkhaus!
