I'm Corinne S., the breeder behind Starlight Danes located in Kimball, MI. We are a family oriented breeding home! We raise Danes to provide healthy and well rounded pets for our families. We strive to stay true to the Great Dane’s structure and temperament that we all love while also focusing on socialization to ensure all pups have the best start in their new homes!

Why did you start breeding?
Damon grew up in a family of breeders (Rottweilers, English bulldogs, French bulldogs) so the breeding world runs deep with him. We both have always loved what Danes are about so when we met, we turned our love into a hobby and a hobby into a program!What makes your program special?
We’ve had an incredible amount of experiences and have done (and still do!) a vast array of research- all of which continuously improve ourselves as dog owners and breeders and ultimately improves the overall livelihoods of our pack and pups! We are truly committed to our dogs and puppies- past, present, and future. Finally, we have true care and compassion for our families and pups alikeWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle, fawn, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“This price is for limited AKC registration for pet homes and includes regular dewormings, vet visits, age appropriate vaccines, microchips, our health guarantee, and the puppy’s go-home pack! Our deposits are set at $500 and are in place to hold your desired puppy until pickup. Deposits are non refundable; however, they are transferable between and among litters.”

Corinne may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 11 June 2025 •…Puppy update! Celeste welcome 11 puppies last Friday (6/6) and they’re doing great! We have 5 girls and 6 boys in the following (tentative) colors: Boys (1) Blue brindle point (1) Blue tan point (1) Blue harlequin brindle point (3) Blue brindle Girls (4) Blue brindle (1) Blue harlequin brindle point We have yet to take individual pictures our reach out to our waitlist- but we will soon! Peanut came to us recently from Lakeside Danes! She is a quiet and affectionate girl who is never far from her favorite 10 year old girl (our oldest daughter). She is a (black) tan point, standing 32 in at the shoulder and weighing about 120lbs.

Ace is a spitting image of his dad, our beloved Tank! He is sweet and quietly confident. Ace loves to play and be with his people (and kids!). Ace is on his way to being the same size as Tank, who is currently 35” tall at the shoulder and weighs over 160lbs. Ask us for more information on Ace’s health, temperament, and structure!

Celeste is such a sweet girl! She is a shadow dog and absolutely loves to be with our kids. You’ll always find her touching somebody and making sure she’s part of the action. Color wise, her color test has determined she is considered a blue brindle mosaic harlequin, despite visually looking like a solid blue brindle!

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Starlight Danes reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Great Danes.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
