I'm Darcy M., the breeder behind Steadfast Standard Schnauzers located in Harris County, TX. Each of our champion-bred puppies comes from carefully selected parents who undergo genetic health testing, and we certify our puppies' health. We focus on the functionality of the working dog's intelligence and temperament. We provide early-life enrichment to develop resilience and attentiveness.
Q. & A. with Darcy
Why did you start breeding?
When you love dogs as we do, you want to spend as many years as you can enjoying life with them. After years of owning rescues and “free” dogs with debilitating health issues, we decided to take an active role in affecting the future progeny of dogs. We established our program with care and intention in every step to ensure our puppies have a rock-solid foundation of health and temperament.
What makes your program special?
Steadfast Standard Schnauzers is dedicated to only breeding dogs that we know are excellent representations of the standard and will make a positive contribution to their line and to the families who love them. We pour all our time and energy into early enrichment during their first 12 weeks so that they cherish our dogs and puppies, and we want only the best for them and for our buyers.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are pepper and salt. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
