I'm Tara S., the breeder behind Stearns H.B.B Kennels (Heritage Beards & Bullies) located in Plattsmouth, NE. Located South of Omaha, our dogs are raised in a hands-on, family environment with early socialization and daily interaction to ensure confident, well-adjusted temperaments.   • Why did you start breeding?

    Dogs have always been a part of my everyday life through Mini Schnauzers and Bulldogs, and over time, the foundation evolved into a focused breeding program built on quality, structure, and temperament. What began as a personal passion has grown into a curated program.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are health-tested, AKC-registered, and carefully placed with their matched families. We produce beautiful, confident, family-ready playmates. We offer a range of rare and highly sought-after coat patterns in the Mini Schnauzer, including Chocolate (liver), medium-intense red "Wheaton" with Mega Coat, and selectively incorporate English Bulldog lines featuring Merle & Black Tri Genetics.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include wheaten, parti, liver, salt and pepper, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tara

Tara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
