I'm Stephanie S., the breeder behind Stephanie's Bayou Pekingese located in Maurice, LA. In order to produce the best quality puppies, I breed with a focus on health, temperament, and structure. I am passionate about my furbabies and my love for them shines through in every aspect of our breeding program. I have many who can vouch for me feel free to join my fb group.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My parents bred dogs my whole life. They bred many different breeds. There was always something special about the pekingese. When i became an adult they gave me my first peke that I was completely responsible for. After I lost him I couldn't find peke anywhere. I searched for 7 months before I found one. Then I decided to start breeding knowing I couldn't be the only one searching for pekingese.

  • What makes your program special?

    I take pride in my breeding program. I want to help keep this breed going. I am here to help everyone find the furbabies. I have CKC, AKC, registered pekingese. All my puppies see vet as well as recieved shots and dewormer by vet prior to going to the furever homes, they also go home with vet records and a puppy pack from me with all they need to get started in their new home!!

Getting a puppy from Stephanie

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price varies on a few things such as: 1) If they are AKC or CKC registered or championship bloodline 2) Sex of puppy 3) Coat color & markings . I require a deposit of $500 in order for me to reserve your puppy. Its non refundable deposit I can discuss more with you if u need. I am responsible for your your puppy till you pick it up I assure you a happy healthy puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Meet my Smooshy from Stephanie's Bayou Pekingese. Isn't he just the cutest little puppy you have ever seen? I want to thank Stephanie for such a wonderful experience with a professional and honest breeder. She knows and understands the breed and asks questions to make sure the person buying the dog is a good fit for the Pekingese breed. Stephanie was extremely understanding and helpful in finding me the perfect puppy match. She was quick to respond to my calls and texts. I even drove to her home and met her entire doggie family. Most breeders are not that transparent! Smooshy is a fantastic little boy. Extremely smart, playful, loving and completely adjusted to sounds around the house, all this was done by Stephanie from birth to when he came to our forever home. He even came to us pretty much pad trained and knowing his name. She asked what I was going to name him and started calling him by name and knew his name when I picked him up. I am grateful I found such a diligent breeder. Thank you Stephanie for such a wonderful little boy.

    We happily reserved & purchased our puppy with Stephanie and it was a GREAT experience! She gave us updated photos & videos of our little guy several times. It was nice to speak to Stephanie through GoodDog and by phone so that I could ask any questions I had and learn more about the Pekingese breed! (We decided to have our boy flown to our airport by the service Stephanie recommended and that was a good experience too —we’d do that again.) Our boy, Finn, is so handsome!     Our experience with this breeder was awesome! Stephanie was very conscientious about the entire process of getting our new puppy. We got to see and meet her and our puppy via video chat and Stephanie updated us on everything the puppy was used to so that the transition to her new home was very easy and smooth. We found out about our puppy’s food, her schedule, her family, toys and personality. Stephanie answered any and all questions we had about the pup and about the acquisition. The transfer was easy and smooth even though it involved transportation scheduling, which Stephanie set up and handled for us. Stephanie has followed up with us to check on the puppy, how things are going and any further questions we may have.
