Meet the breeder

I'm Claudia N., the breeder behind Stonebrook Gentle Giants located in Gastonia, NC. The goal of Stonebrook Gentle Giants is to provide healthy puppies of outstanding character. All of our dogs live with us in our home where we are able to evaluate their characters every day. Only dogs with stellar personalities are used in our program. All of our puppies are raised in our home also, being exposed to everyday household activities and receiving a headstart on potty training, crate training, and basic obedience. We utilize the concepts and methods of the revolutionary "Puppy Culture" culture program with all of our litters. This program produces more intelligent puppies that are highly trainable giving them the absolute best start when they go home to their new families.

Q. & A. with Claudia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have been raising and training dogs since I was a young girl. I started with Labrador Retrievers and gained experience in obedience, field trial, and conformation. About 25 years ago I acquired my first Dane and Berner and they have become my forever breeds!
  • What makes your program special?

The focus of our program is to produce and provide healthy dogs that are suitable for families. We fully evaluate all of the dogs we use in our program and make sure their temperament is stellar! They need happily live with other dogs, children, busy households, loud noises, and be highly trainable. Only then will they be used in our program. We also use the Puppy Culture early training system to take advantage of pivital phases of development woth alk of our litters.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Great Dane puppies include mantle merle, blue and white, blue, harlequin, mantle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
