Meet the breeder

I'm Greta D., the breeder behind Stonehenge English Springer Spaniels & Teddy Roosevelt Terriers located in South Bend, IN. Our dogs are completely health tested and must have an excellent temperament before we consider using them in our breeding program. All of our dogs live in the house as family members and pups are born and raised in our home. Puppies are placed in approved homes with AKC limited registration.

Q. & A. with Greta

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first English Springer Spaniel in 1995 from a classified ad in the local newspaper. After becoming a professional groomer, I was interested in adding a nicely bred dog to use in grooming competitions. The breeder of that dog offered me the opportunity to show him…..and the rest is history! Teddy Roosevelt Terriers were added in 2021 and I’ve become a huge fan of their personalities.
  • What makes your program special?

All of my breedings are carefully thought out, considering the structure, temperament and health of the parents and puppies. While my main goal is to produce my next show dog, perhaps more important are the puppies that will be going to the best pet homes. All of my puppies are treated and raised the same way, I’m equally invested in creating the perfect pet for you as I am for myself.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

English Springer Spaniel puppies include liver and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
