I'm Greta D., the breeder behind Stonehenge English Springer Spaniels located in South Bend, IN. Our dogs are completely health tested and must have an excellent temperament before we consider using them in our breeding program. All of our dogs live in the house as family members and puppies are born and raised in our home. Our puppies are placed in approved companion homes with AKC limited registration.
Q. & A. with Greta
Why did you start breeding?
I purchased my first English Springer Spaniel in 1995 from a classified ad in the local newspaper. After becoming a professional groomer, I was interested in adding a nicely bred dog to use in grooming competitions. The breeder of that dog offered me the opportunity to show him…..and the rest is history!
What makes your program special?
I carefully evaluate any dog I consider using in my breeding program for correct structure, health and temperament. My puppies are born and raised in my home and brought to work at my grooming shop starting at 6 weeks of age. They are happy healthy and well socialized. My puppies all leave with: Prepaid limited AKC Registration, AKC Reunite microchip with prepaid registration, veterinary exam and first DA2PP vaccine, negative fecal check and several dewormings, spay/neuter contract on all pet puppies, and 2 year genetic health guarantee.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
