Meet the breeder

I'm Olivia A., the breeder behind Stormin' Pine and Prairie Springers located in Litchfield, MN. We’re small scale lovers of AKC English Springer Spaniels. Our dogs are raised in our home, not in kennels, and every puppy is raised right alongside us as part of the family. June will only have a limited number of litters focused on producing healthy, well tempered, and versatile puppies. We put a large focus on early exposure, confidence building, problem solving, and creating well rounded puppies that can succeed both in the field and in family homes. Our puppies are exposed to everyday life, different environments, sounds, grooming, crates, car rides, and more before they ever leave for their new homes. I pour an incredible amount of time, love, and energy into these puppies from the day they are born. Watching them grow, develop personalities, and go on to become part of other families is one of my favorite parts of breeding. Follow along for updates, photos, milestones, and life with our Springer family! If you are interested in a puppy for hunting, AKC shows, hunt trials, or other performance events, please reach out to discuss our working dog discount.

Q. & A. with Olivia

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, we bred Springers out of June’s great grandma. That instilled in me a love for breeding and helped me recognize the importance of well bred and well trained dogs. I have been a dog lover my whole life, and my family would say I would choose a dog over a person any day. I pour my time, love, and energy into my puppies and couldn’t be happier to share them with other families.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program special is the amount of time and intention we put into each puppy before they ever leave our home. We focus heavily on confidence, exposure, problem solving, and creating well rounded puppies that can succeed in real life situations. We work closely with buyers to match puppies based on personality and lifestyle, not just appearance. Our goal is to produce Springers that are versatile, trainable, and able to thrive as hunting dogs, active companions, and family dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include liver white and roan, liver white and tan, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
