I'm Antoinette H., the breeder behind Stormy Heights Homestead located in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO. We strive to produce puppies that adhere to the breed standard and are exceptional in the home and on the farm. We love our dogs! We decided to start a responsible, in-home breeding program in order to produce quality farm dogs that also fit into a home setting. We focus on breeding dogs that have enough drive on the farm to keep up with our lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting.

About Mythos
Mythos is a G2 CMD outcross. Mythos reminds us of our Nova—an old soul wrapped in a puppy’s body. He watches calmly from the sidelines, always observant and on alert. His affection is quiet and gentle, never pushy, yet he loves nothing more than climbing into your lap for snuggles. Mythos came to us from a farm in Oregon, along with his brother Epic. His gorgeous Silver coat is shorter than many of our other CMDs, but also incredibly soft to the touch. He has been dna tested and has passed OFA and Pinhip

About Mary
Mary is everything you could ask for in a CMD. Gentle and welcoming but always on the watch. She is quiet but will bark if the need arises. Mary loves her people and would never wander off or challenge a fence. Her nurturing spirit is always looking for a baby farm animal to mother. Her best friends are a pig she adopted at a day old and a bottle lamb.

About Fable
NMSR Fable is a G4 Colorado Mountain Dog from one of my favorite pairings, out of NMSR Marlo and my heart dog, WHH Artham. The pups from this cross were nothing short of extraordinary, and Fable has carried that legacy beautifully. Gentle and nurturing, Fable has a special gift for caring for both people and animals. She has a soft spot for children—especially babies. If she hears a little one crying, she instinctively rests her head in their lap, offering quiet comfort like the beloved “Nana” from Peter Pan. Every child she meets becomes her friend, and every animal in need finds a patient guardian in her. Fable also adores riding in the car and is often spotted around town by our side. With her empathetic nature and uncanny ability to sense when someone needs comfort, she shows every sign of becoming a wonderful therapy dog. She is truly a gem—one of those rare dogs everyone falls in love with the moment they meet her.

About Bowser
FDM Bowser of STHH is a 5th generation Colorado Mountain Dog and a shining example of what this breed is meant to be. Standing 31" tall with a tall, lean frame, Bowser combines strength with grace. He is kind and easy-going, taking direction naturally and adapting to any situation with calm confidence. On the farm, Bowser is a steady guardian — reliable with goats, chickens, and other dogs, yet always alert when protection is needed. His long, silky coat resists matting and he is naturally clean-legged, making him both rugged and low-maintenance. As much as he takes pride in his work, Bowser is equally devoted to people. Gentle, trustworthy, and loyal, he moves seamlessly between being a fierce protector and a loving family companion. He truly represents the heart of the Colorado Mountain Dog.

About Nova
Nova was a born mother. As a pup she would find chicks and goats to snuggle up with. She takes any farm animal or pup she sees as her own. She is always by a goats side when they kid and gently nudges it to its mother. She also loves her people and being inside. She easily transitions between being on the couch and outside guarding. She is the first to the frontline when a predator nears and is the top tier of hierarchy in our pack. She is known to pass her blue masking on to her pups.

About Artham
Artham is as good as they come. Loving to all humans big and small and every animal he has ever met.....besides predators. Artham will be the first to greet any visitor stranger or not with a wagging tail. His loyalty is unending, tell him to stay and he does, call him from any distance in ear shot and he comes running. He has never even thought about testing a fence. Goofy yet fierce when protecting his animals and family.

About River
RiverJoy exudes peace. She is always quiet and patient. She isn't shy but she won't be in your lap begging for pets, she will be standing at your side looking patiently up at you as she waits. She loves goats and has been with them since a pup. She has never tested a fence and always stays close to the house or goats when out. She is a true Gem. Don't let her weight fool you, this girl is all legs coming in at 28".
