I'm Dawn A., the breeder behind Stormy Hill Golden Retrievers located in Miamisburg, OH. We strive to produce puppies that will be perfect candidates for therapy work, hunt test endeavors, competitive sports and so much more, including your family's next best friend. We fully OFA and Genetically test our dogs to ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies we can.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We love the Golden Retriever breed! Our dogs have brought us so much joy and happiness that we wanted to share that with others by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them a wonderful life with wonderful families. We truly love our puppies and know you will, too! We pride ourselves on helping all of our families find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because of our exceptionally high standards both in pedigree and titling of dogs. The amount of time and effort we put in our dogs is evident in the titles we secure and the lines we are producing. We are passionate about socialization, hunting sports, therapy work and also about families with special needs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dawn

Dawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,700 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes 6 week vet check, vaccinations, dewormings, microchip and AKC registration. All puppies are sold on limited AKC registration.”

Contract & health guarantee

Dawn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
