Our dogs come from generations and decades of health-tested Champions, with the utmost care for sound temperament, form, performance, working ability and aptitude. I’ve been involved with Standard Schnauzers for 30 years and breed to uphold correct, traditional virtues while steering clear of damaging fads.

About Kismet
Kismet is a high-energy, fun-loving Standard Schnauzer from agility lines who temperament-tested excellently for performance. She easily finished her Championship, including a Specialty win, and is health tested beyond the National Club requirements. Kismet will produce healthy puppies sound in body and mind, both as show and/or performance prospects as well as active pets.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Dilated Cardiomyopathy (Schnauzer Type)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
