I'm Sandra S., the breeder behind Strittmater Kennels located in Onalaska, WI. We raise German Shepherds with pure, superior bloodlines in our home, and are dedicated to breed pups with even temperaments, excellent health standards, spirit, and personality. Our purpose is to raise loving family pets; some have found great success as working class, K9, and successful show line!

Why did you start breeding?
My family grew up raising German shepherds, and when I purchased my own shepherd in 2001, my children and I fell in love with the breed. We wish to continue to breed healthy, happy, loving shepherds not only for the love of the animals, but also to help maintain the highest quality standards in breeding German Shepherd Dogs.What makes your program special?
Our puppies have excellent bloodlines, are loving, loyal, loving, intelligent, beautiful animals. We only use stud dog breeders who meet the highest standards for health, compatibility, ethical practices, and have extensive knowledge and are experienced breeders. Our puppies are raised in our home with adults and children, fed high quality diets, are exposed to multiple experiences and stimuli.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Getting a puppy from Sandra
Sandra has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Sandra partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“We take great care in matching our puppies to the right home environment. We monitor their developing personalities and make final matches once we can appropriately identify their temperaments and personalities, generally between 7 and 8 weeks.”

“Price includes AKC registration and access to free and addition training, access to additional training through Good Dog, Microchip, Veterinarian Health Status report, initial recommended vaccinations, initial heartworm treatment(s) and/or next month's heartworm treatment, sample pack for monthly vitamin for 4-6 months of recommended GSD puppy recommendation, full deworming treatment and Veterinarian verified cleared stool specimen for worms, records including birth records, health and vaccination records, initial potty training/pad training, initial crate training, initial simple commands training, socialization with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, socialization in settings such as vet office, pet store, and other pet-safe settings, toys and favorite toys with mother and sibling scents, scrap of blanket with mother and sibling scents, photo book from birth to adoption, and access to breeder for any questions or concerns. Pricing includes AKC registration, microchip, Vet health assessment, initial recommended vaccinations, deworming, birth records, photo album from birth to time of purchase, 4 to 6 weeks of puppy food (and recommendations for feeding/transitioning to a different food if you choose),.”

About Queenie
Queenie is an extremely gentle, kind, and loving plush double coat German Shepherd. She was bred through the former Jerland Kennel's long-serving highly selective, ethical, and disciplined breeding program, with dogs located in all 50 states and over 30 foreign countries. Her sire and dam's bloodlines are beyond impressive, bringing strength of character, intelligence, and grace to the lineage. Queenie is highly intelligent, energetic, and playful, and learns new skills very quickly. She is amazing with people of all ages and makes friends with people and animals quickly and easily, as is evident in her wagging tail as any new friend approaches! Queenie loves attention, walks, car rides, and play time. This will be Queenie's second litter and was an amazing and excellent caring, gentle, and intelligent mother with her first litter. We are so excited to welcome her next litter, and believe that the balance of the sire Uri's calm presence is a beautiful balance to Queenie's playful personality!

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Temperament Test, Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
