Meet the breeder

I'm Stephan H., the breeder behind Stumptown Staffordshire Bull Terriers located in Scappoose, OR. I've long loved SBTs for well over 20 years and have owned them since 2020. The SBT is a very special and unique breed. As member in good standing with the the SBT Club of America and the SBT Club of Oregon, it's my responsibility do my part to contribute to the betterment of the breed.

Q. & A. with Stephan

  • Why did you start breeding?

I continue to be thankful and appreciative to Brenda and Kate Holmen of K8'sK9s for placing Cookie with me. Cookie is my first SBT bitch. She possesses a great deal of my favorite SBT qualities. In my opinion, her sweet and lovable temperament, strong head, short back, and substantive build makes her a fantastic pet and an ideal bitch to start my breeding and conformation journey.
  • What makes your program special?

My program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the SBT by producing puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. I breed to the AKC standard. As a breeder that is committed to protecting and preserving SBT's, I do my very best to match my puppies with homes that are committed, caring, and capable.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red and white and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
