Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle B., the breeder behind Sugarbush Corgis located in Kirkville, NY. Sugarbush Corgis is a small, home based AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgi program in Central New York. We focus on health, temperament, and raising confident, well socialized puppies, that thrive as loving family companions. Every puppy is raised with care and plenty of early socialization!

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

After falling in love with the breed, we wanted to help other families experience the same joy. Our first corgi, Maple has the PERFECT temperament, and we had to share! They are great whether that means joining you on hikes, exploring festivals, playing in the backyard, or curling up beside you on the couch at the end of the day, we knew she was the exact dog to carry on the Pembroke Corgi genes!
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in our home as part of the family, not in a kennel. From an early age, they're introduced to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences to help build confident, well adjusted companions. They grow up surrounded by a variety of adults and kids, our cat, and plenty of love! They learn from day one that they're cherished and to share that love with their future families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black and tan, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Michelle

Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Michelle partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“While you may reserve a preferred gender and color, we believe personality matters just as much. We get to know each puppy as they grow and take time to understand your family's lifestyle. If we think another puppy would be a better match, we'll discuss the options together to help ensure the best fit for both your family and the puppy.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Your puppy includes deworming every 2 weeks, first vaccinations, early socialization, and AKC limited registration to help ensure a great start. Once approved, a non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy. We'll stay in touch with updates until it's time for your puppy to come home.”
