Meet the breeder

I'm Mary C., the breeder behind Sugartop Minis located in Idaho Falls, ID. We understand your puppy is your next tiny family member and we take that responsibility seriously. Which is why we promise excellent health, temperament, and type. We offer a lifetime of support for you and your new puppy, and do everything in our power to set you up for success.

Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started about four years ago doing research, taking classes and talking with other breeders. I found the ways I feel that we can do better and then I carefully purchased my first breeding pair to put the things I had learned into practice. I love my dogs, I believe in the quality of my dogs and I put them first. I believe with my program we can start a change toward more ethical practice.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on socialization and early exposure to give our puppies the best chance for confidently taking on the world when they join their new families. We have a lifetime commitment to our dogs and owners. I believe that if I choose to bring these dogs into the world then I need to be prepared to care for them if their families cannot. Accordingly we do our best to carefully place each puppy well
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black tri, red tri-color, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
