I'm Lacie H., the breeder behind Summit Cane Corso located in Smartsville, CA. Our dogs are raised in our home and travel with us everywhere on a daily basis. Health and breed standard, as well as stable temperaments are our top priority. Puppies are handled numerous times daily and exposed to all types of different situations and experiences for proper development and socialization.
Q. & A. with Lacie
Why did you start breeding?
Our family has always raised dogs, over 45yrs for my parents and over 20yrs for myself. I now mainly breed for myself to keep puppies back and offer a limited amount of puppies per year.
What makes your program special?
Our goal with our Cane Corso program is to preserve the breed type and standard, navigate away from serious health conditions such as hip/elbow dysplasia and genetic disorders, and maintain a rock solid temperament.
We study pedigrees extensively while planning litters to avoid known bloodlines that carry epilepsy, which is a very serious & fatal condition with no available testing for.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include gray and fawn, chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, fawn, gray, and gray brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
