I'm Susan F., the breeder behind Susan's Poodles located in Humboldt, IL. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of this breed with other individuals and families!

What makes your program special?
All the hands on in my home. These pups her born on my bed as my female was more comfortable there. Thank goodness for large incontinent pads that don't leak I assisted in the birth if needed. My RN training came in handy that AM. We are working on early potty training, ENS they are exposed to normal house hold noises. They are handled multiple times daily and are around the parents and other dogs and cats also children. WE will work on crate training and leash training prior to leaving for their new homes.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing
Good level

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
