Meet the breeder

I'm Mary L., the breeder behind Sweet Pup Schnauzers located in North Zulch, TX. We fell in love with the breed because of their intelligence and personality. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them the way that we do! We live on 60 acres in Texas between Houston & Dallas, near Bryan/College Station. Come see us! All of my pups are priced as pets. If breeder rights are desired, let me know but understand price will change.

Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have had Schnauzers most of our married life and love them. We have 3 females. I use a male from a local respected breeder in my area. This has been a good plan for me as I've had some beautiful puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

I believe our breeding program is special because they are raised in my home and yet have the run of my property (60 acres) to get plenty of exercise and sunshine. I feel that is a contributing factor as to why they have easy deliveries and great temperaments.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include brown and white, black, black and white, and tri-color. Miniature Schnauzer puppies include wheaten, white, parti, liver, salt and pepper, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Mary

Mary has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Mary partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“One of the joys of breeding my puppies is seeing the excitement and love in the faces of the new owners. I use a short application form primarily to confirm that the individual is a serious purchaser and have properly prepared for their arriving fur baby. I amplify my application process with my 2 year limited health guarantee which has several clauses that would rule out those that were not responsible pet owners. They are required to sign this prior to completing any purchase, therefore if they see a clause that they do not feel like they can comply to, they do not need to go forward with the purchase.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes AKC papers for limited registration, a breeding agreement with a 2 year limited health guarantee. Thru Good Dog, buyers can apply for a payment plan, if you need it. Info below. The deposit amount from $100-$500. The $100 deposit when a client reserves prior to birth, the $300 is after the litter is born and $500 when a puppy has been chosen & pick up date established.”

Contract & health guarantee

Mary may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Mary offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Mary directly.

All contracts are handled securely through Good Dog.

From the very beginning, Mary was incredibly kind, professional, and responsible. She took the time to answer every question and concern I had, making me feel confident throughout the entire process. A few days after deciding I wanted to meet the puppies, Mary and her husband welcomed me into their home. They introduced me to the litter, and there was only one little boy available. I knew I wanted a male puppy, and the moment I saw him, I knew he was the one. Sheldon was actually a Christmas gift from my boyfriend at the time, who is now my husband, and without a doubt, he has been the best Christmas gift I have ever received. Taking Sheldon home turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. He is a happy, energetic, loving dog who brings joy to every day. Over time, he has become so much more than a pet—he has become my whole world. Thank you, Mary, for raising such wonderful puppies and for making this experience so special. I will always be grateful for bringing Sheldon into my life.

Mary made everything so easy for us to pick up our puppy. It was our first time using Good Dog and we’re coming from out of state. She answered all of our questions , explained the process to us; made a difference for us. We drove on a weekend and met on time. Our puppy is happy and chill so you can tell he is well taken cared of. Given another opportunity, we’d be happy to get another pup from Mary!
