Meet the breeder

I'm Julie W., the breeder behind Sweet Warner Pugs located in New Tazewell, TN. It is our goal to produce adorable, affectionate Pug puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Q. & A. with Julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Being raised on a farm breeding is something you’re raised to do & do it ethically. I chose to breed pugs when I saw the deficit in our area & want to try to make the breed a little more available in my area.
  • What makes your program special?

I don’t have a large breed program. Each of my adults are pets first. Each puppy is loved by all of my family & there are 4 generations on our farm, so the puppies get lots of love and attention before they go to their new homes. I like to be able to get to know the new families & hopefully get to watch my babies as they grow. I would hope that in a way my family gets to become a small part of yours.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Ruby and I just want to say thank you to you for all your help and to let you know that it's going great and Ruby is doing awesome. She's a great learner and goes to doggy daycare once a week to play with other puppies and isn't even tired when she comes home lol ☺️ She loves to play in the leaves and go for walks and is very intrigued by everything around her. She is very smart and is starting to figure out the smell of people food and she knows which door is her home when we come in from outside. She was 6.2 lbs when she had her 2nd shots around the end of Oct. She looks about twice her size now. 😍
