I'm Michelle L., the breeder behind Sweetwater Goldens located in Rotterdam, NY. Our dogs are AKC registered, receive OFA testing, and medical screenings. Puppies are raised in our home using (ENS) Early Neurological Stimulation and are well socialized. Before puppies go to their new homes they will be vet checked, dewormed, and receive their first round of shots. Puppies are sold with an AKC Limited Registration.

    At Sweetwater Goldens, our dogs receive comprehensive health care, including OFA testing and medical screenings to ensure stron and healthy genetic foundations. All puppies are AKC registered and come with a limited registration. All puppies are raised in our home are loved, handled, and socialized every day so they are well prepared to become cherished members of your family.

    Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Michelle

Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Michelle partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
