I'm Rachel R., the breeder behind Swiftly Golden Retrievers located in Salem, OR. My program focuses on Longevity, Versatility, and Genetic Diversity, while maintaining correct Conformation and Temperament as described in our breed standard.

Why did you start breeding?
I've had the desire to breed Goldens since I was 12 or 13. I purchased my first Golden in 2021 with the goal of her being the foundation to my program, and in 2023 I joined the GRCA and PRGRCO, and was able to connect with experienced breeders and grow in my education and understanding of the breed and the nuances associated with breeding. My first litter is planned for the fall of 2025 :)
What makes your program special?
I strive to produce dogs who meet the standard regarding conformation and temperament who have the drive to work, but can also be a wonderful pet for their families. Longevity is also very important to me, so the dogs I use for breeding will come from pedigrees where the average lifespan is over 11 or 12 years.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
