Meet the breeder

I'm Jessi S., the breeder behind Switzer Poodles located in Fruita, CO. We fell in love with Standard Poodles in 2018. Smart, loyal, athletic, and family-loving, they’re anything but “girly.” We raise our pups with care and affection, showing their versatility, gentle nature with kids, and loving, hypoallergenic companionship.

Q. & A. with Jessi

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started breeding Standard Poodles after falling in love with their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility. Our goal is to break the stereotype that poodles are just “fancy” dogs and show they belong anywhere—from homes and ranches to hunting fields. We take pride in raising healthy, loving, well-rounded family companions.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program focuses on raising healthy, smart, and loving Standard Poodles in our home. Each puppy grows up socialized with kids, other animals, and daily life, receiving personal care and attention from day one. We aim to raise family companions and working partners who bring joy, loyalty, and versatility to every home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, cream, silver, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
