I'm Theresa P., the breeder behind T & A Cali Schnauzer located in Sacramento, CA. We are experienced reputable Mini & Giant Schauzer breeder, whom takes great pride & Embark test all adults to ensure great health as well as OFA testing. We are a breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that thrive in their forever homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We decided to get into breeding when we fell in love with our Mini Schnauzers and the breed in general. We wanted to be able to provide this amazing breed to others that will love, and cherish them as we do. We focus on breeding to improve the health of our breed and a well balanced temperament. We health test our breeding parents and ensure year round proper care and always fully vaccinate them.

  • What makes your program special?

    We ensure good health in all our adults and puppies. We begin litter training at 3 weeks of age and acclimate our puppies early with lots of touching, differents sounds, holding, playing and socializing. We raise our litters indoors with proper temperature for summer/winter weather. We raise our puppies with lots of love and are always available for video calls, and for you to make home visits.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Giant Schnauzer puppies are black. Miniature Schnauzer puppies include wheaten, white, parti, black, salt and pepper, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Theresa

Theresa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Theresa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

“We take great care in our puppy matching process. At around 4 weeks old we will reach out to our families on our waitlist to begin our puppy matching. After our waitlist families have chosen thier furever puppy we will than place remaining puppies for availability. ”

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our price Includes first round of vaccines, regular deworming, photo shoots and videos to watch your baby grow, start puppies on litter training at 3 weeks at that same time we start to wean our puppies off mama onto kibble mush, by time our puppies go home they are fully on kibble. We as well send our puppies home with a care bag. All puppies are the same price regardless of size, coat and color. If you are interested in full registration we do ask for a extra cost. Deposit is due to hold your baby apon selection after birth. Balance is due apon pick-up.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Theresa was so kind and gave us the necessities for taking care of Luna, including her dog food, toys, and a collar, just to name a few. Luna was bathed before we got her so we didn’t need to worry about it until Luna got used to our home. Any questions we had was answered. We saw some varieties of personality in their pets. While Luna was quiet, another was energetic. Since Luna is an adult, she was already potty trained when she came to our house and knew a few commands. If you’re interested in getting a schnauzer and you’re close to Sacramento, I would recommend them!
