I'm Annae L., the breeder behind Tall Pines Goldens located in Lakeside, AZ. We are a family with a small Golden Retriever program. Puppies are raised in our home, well-socialized, and shown lots of love. We breed our dogs based on the standard that Golden Retrievers are family dogs. We have been breeding since 2014 and have loved it! Our dogs have their health clearances and have great personalities. We look forward to helping you in any way we can with your new puppy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our daughter asked us if we could get a Purebred Golden Retriever (AKC registered). We said yes because of our research about golden retrievers being a family dog. We decided to start breeding to teach responsibility to our children and to further the breed's standards. Our children learn that animals are important and that animals need love and care, just like us!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our breeding program is family-based. It's built on a love for dogs and responsibility. Have you ever watched a 15-year-old stay up all night helping whelp a litter? The connection and love given since day one is evident in the dogs and puppies we sell.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Annae

Annae has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC limited registration, a vet check, a health guarantee, socialization with children and other animals, up-to-date on shots and deworming as needed, microchipped, a litter certificate, a blanket with mom and litter mates scent, and a small bag of the food they are eating. Limited registration: $1700-$2000 Full Registration: $2500. Deposits hold your puppy for you and go towards the total price of the puppy. Puppies are picked in the order deposits are received.”

Annae may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Getting my puppy, Shadow, was the best decision I have made and I would recommend Annae to anyone in a heartbeat. She gave me personalized updates often, responded quickly, and when I told her that I was going to name him Shadow, she started calling him that so by the time he came home, he already started to know his name! Besides Annae being a wonderful person to work with, my puppy also has wonderful traits and healthy genetics. He is extremely intelligent, loyal, and filled with many other traits that align with his parents' biographies. It is very clear that this breeder really does love raising puppies and is very ethical about the practice, which is one of the major things we were looking for when picking a breeder. Again, I would recommend Annae to anyone that wants a healthy, beautiful and loving golden retriever!
