Tawny Terriers

Caitlyn S.

Breeder of Sealyham Terriers

Meet the breeder

I'm Caitlyn S., the breeder behind Tawny Terriers located in Mt Kisco, NY. We had our first litter of Sealyhams September 10th 2023. We chose Sealyhams because they are such a wonderful breed and the Terrier Group's best kept secret. They are comedic, enduring, mischievous, and stubborn all rolled up into a cute yet rugged short-legged package!

Q. & A. with Caitlyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

We had welsh terriers for awhile and even did some rescue work with our national breed club. I knew I wanted to show dogs as I grew up showing livestock and loving it. For my 30th birthday my husband told me to follow that dream and go get a show dog, so I did and the rest is history. I try my best to follow all of the latest health and genetic testing guidelines.
  • What makes your program special?

We have a home environment. We don't breed to make money. We will be breeding first and foremost to add to our family, but we can't keep them all so our future puppy owners will be thrilled to find that their dogs started with Puppy Culture and lived with a busy household of small children and other animals, so plenty of socialization and opportunities to learn before going home. We want you to be over the moon for your new, well adjusted, furry family member.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and tan, white and lemon, white and badger, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
