Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley S., the breeder behind Tennessee Dutch Shepherd located in Mt. Pleasant, TN. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. Our mama is our 1 and only dog. She is AKC registered and comes from a champion sport bloodline. we sired through a stud service, Iron Works K9.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our family has carried a dream to breed for over 5 years. We knew we wanted to breed the right way so we waited patiently to find the right breeder. Our breeder knew our intentions and picked out a suitable female for a family and for breeding. We did dna testing and eventually found a stud service to breed her. Our female is AKC registered and our stud is not, though still comes from a reputable bloodline.
  • What makes your program special?

We have only 1 dog and she’s our family dog, so she’s extremely well cared for. We are only planning on 1 maybe 2 breedings with her so this is the one and only litter that we’ve been planning for 5 years! We have dogs in and out with boarding and we are social so these pups are going to be exposed to a lot of interactions with people and animals which will really help sharpen their temperaments.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are gold brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
