Q. & A. with Brenda
Why did you start breeding?
I was one of those kids that wanted to be a vet when I grew up, well life didn't take me down that road but with my love of animals I started out grooming dogs for 16 years. When I retired and I stayed home a lot I decided to continue with my love of dogs and start breeding. I believe in health testing and doing what is right for my dogs and my families. I Love them from their first breath.
What makes your program special?
The puppies are raised for the first 4 weeks in my office where I spend 80% of my time. They are started out from day 3 using their sense of smell and touch since their eyes and ears aren't open until around 3 weeks. From 3 weeks on they are introduced to a new thing each day to build confidence in the world around them. They are introduced to every sound i can find to use and lots of "strangers".
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Assorted Doodle Crosses puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color, phantom, and blue merle. Assorted Doodle Crosses puppies include black tri-color, merle, chocolate, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
